Adrian's Request!!

So as all of you know, Adrian is in Iraq. He is hating the food (except for Thursday, Mexican food!!) He would like everyone to start sending him care packages!! He likes butterfingers!! I will be sending him some stuff for Valentine's Day along with a batch of my special brownies (not that kind of special!) They were a big hit when he was in basic down in South Carolina! After he shared them with all of his friends (such a nice boy!)they were all sent for a drug test! They all passed!! At any rate, he wants to get things sent to him! His address is below!

Happy Birthday Kayleigh!!

As all of you know, Kayleigh would have been 16 on Wed. the 16th of January. As is tradition here in Utah I prepared the favorite meal. Since she is not with us at this time I purchased her some silk flowers and Kevin placed them together in a vase. I thought that he did a fabulous job of arranging them and they look so beautiful! I think Kayleigh would think they are nice as well! As of right now we are not able to get into the cemetery because of the snow that is there so we are hoping to get these to her by Memorial Day!

Below is a picture of our meal that I made for her! I called Mom and asked her what meal Kayleigh would have wanted if she was here and what kind of cake. Mom said that her favorite meal was chicken strips and french fries, that is what she got!!! I made homemade chicken strips with cream gravy and french fries (store bought, home fried!) We also had tator tots because there was not enough fries!

Mom requested for her cake to be pink, I think I nailed it!! I was a bone head and forgot to take a picture of the cake before we cut into it, sorry! I made a yellow cake but added food coloring to get a beautiful color of pink! I used vanilla frosting and colored it pink also with food coloring! I could have bought pink frosting but they are all flavored cherry or strawberry and not everyone would like the taste of it! The candy decorations were pink and purple. It said happy birthday and had balloons and swirls all over it! I think I did a good job on it, I just wish I had a picture of the cake before I cut it! We also had chocolate ice cream as I know that Kayleigh was a big fan of it! I got vanilla also since Dad can not eat the chocolate!


I decided that I would just throw in a couple cute shots of Rebecca while I was at this blog!!

She is in her swing and was trying to reach her mobile that has bunny's and a bear hanging from it! She can't reach it though, it is cute to watch her try!!

Below is her (again in her swing) and I just love this outfit!! A guy that Kevin and Dad works with gave it to us! His wife had a baby and grew out of it! Cute huh?!?!

Oh, with her sitting in the chair they look more like caprices but they are pants!

This, That, And Rebecca!!!

Samuel had a Christmas concert that mom and I went to! He cleans up good!!

Below is a picture of Mom and Rebecca! If you notice the outfit, it is a denim skirt! This was a purse when it was purchased! I saw it in the craft section at Walmart and thought that is would make a cute skirt and so it did! Mom took out the zipper and the inside part that was the purse part. This is what she looked like in it!! So adorable!


Dad is putting on the star! I was complained to by Jonathan that not only was it not a star that lit up but it was also not the angel that we grew up having on our trees! Can never please him!


This picture below is of Rebecca in her last preemie outfit! I am happy that she is growing but sad because of the same reason!


I don't know if anyone remembers the post that I did before that showed the outfit that she was suppose to come home from the hospital in. This is what it looks like on her. She is now showing a little bit more of her feet when she is wearing it but it is still big on her!


Here is our stockings! From the left hand side over it is Matthew, Kayleigh, Adrian, Dad, Mom, Jonathan, Nathan, David, Samuel, Kevin, Me, Ashley, and then Rebecca! Rebecca also has another stocking that she will get hung up starting next year and it has Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer on it and his nose and name flashes!!


Christmas morning! You can see the Santa gifts under the tree. Jonathan, Nathan, David and Samuel all got bullets. David and Samuel also got a video game along with the bullets. Ashley received house shoes, a foot massager and a nail kit that makes the nails shine!. You can not see Rebecca's gifts but she has a chair that plays music and vibrates as well as a fleece blanket and a mush belly toy! She does not like her seat at all and her eyes get huge when you squeeze the mush belly to make the kissing sound. She loves the blanket!!


Rebecca got a swing also for Christmas from her dad and me. She will tolerate it for a short time only unless you put her in it when she is sleeping and then sometimes she sleeps for a while in it!

Above is her going to church! I love this dress but it is still a little bit big on her!! Below is her in her swing waiting patiently to go to church!

Dad holds her quite a bit! Even more now that mom has gone back to Michigan! I love the outfit that she is wearing in this picture, her sleeves are rolled up and the pants are a bit big but very cute non the less! The pants are corduroy! I love it except she doesn't get to make the noise when she walks!

She is getting ready for her bath! She loves bath time! She knows when it is coming also! Can you tell!

Another gift that she got was this play place! She also likes it for a short amount of time! The colors are what she likes the most I think! When she is done though, she is done!

Here she is laying on that fleece blanket that I mentioned earlier! We are at Andrew and Marni's house! I don't have any pictures of the kids for some reason. I thought that I took some but I guess it was just Dad that took the pictures!

Her Blessing Day!!!!


She is so cute in her blessing dress! It is to bad that she only gets to wear it once!!
She is obviously thrilled to be wearing it!

Mom did not finish the one that she was making for her for the blessing so we used the next best thing!

So precious! Mom and Dad gave her the bonnet for Christmas along with the bracelet! The bonnet is one that turns into a handkerchief that she can use on her wedding day! The bracelet was to big but we did not lose it fortunately!!

I love this picture!! She is giving me a look that is priceless!! No cry came, just the look as if I was doing something horrible by getting her dressed in this!

And then it is her and Dad! There is no picture of her and Kevin, he decided not to have his picture taken with her! She cried during her blessing though! Dad said that he has never had a baby cry while giving them a blessing! He can not say that now!!

She was a little bit tired after her blessing. I changed her cloths, fed her, and this is what happened! She is adorable when she is sleeping!

I had to put her in that denim skirt again! She is not going to fit it again so I had to take advantage of it now!!

This is also a picture that I love! Nathan was holding her and I decided to take advantage of it! They both have a look on their faces that would say that neither one of then want to be with the other person!

Just a cute one with her sleeping. That blanket keeps popping up! You would think that she liked it or something!

Her Two Month Old Appointment!

She got her shots and this is the picture that she got taken of her after she had them and after eating! Poor baby! I think that I cried more than she did! She had two shots in her left leg and one shot in her right leg. They gave her a liquid shot in her mouth after she had her tongue clipped. She had a hard day!

She is gaining weight and is now weighing in at 8lbs. 3 oz. That puts her in the 2ND percentile for the weight! Her length is now 19 and 3/4inches long. She is in the 3rd percentile for that!! I am amazed at how big she is yet how small at the same time!!

Below is her on her actual 2 month birthday! The picture above is of her the day after she was two months!

She loves her baths as I mentioned above! This is one on her two month day! She is so cute! She has now learned that if she moves her feet it will splash but if she drops her hand down hard it splashes more! She gets a kick out of that!

Here is a picture of her the day that mom was leaving on the train! She loves her nana and I am sure misses her bunches!!

So that is what I have for her at this time! I have a couple more pictures on the camera that I need to get on the computer and as soon as I get that done I will get them posted!

So I know this is late but happy birthday! I was there with you last year and I wish I could have been there with you this year! I can't believe that you are already a year older!! I hope you get your card soon and I hope you had a great birthday!! love ya lots!
