Wow, you are getting to be a big boy!! When did you get so old?! I hope you got the card that I sent to you and do something fun with the money!! I wish I could give you your birthday spanking but I will have to trust that your parents do it for me!!! Tell your mom to post pictures of your party as soon as she can so that I can see how you celebrated your day!!

Rebecca update!

So I took her to her doctor today and he said that since she is getting sick with the antibiotics since she is not eating and it needs to be taken with food that he is just going to do shots instead. Poor baby! He will be seeing her again on Thursday for more shots but today she got two in place of the oral medicine. She tried to pull her pants up when I pulled them down for the shots! She has it figured out!

Her tooth doesn't seem like it is the issue with her doctor and he said the infection could have been started with something as little as a scratch in her mouth. He will monitor her and her mouth but she will get to go and see a dentist just to make sure it is not something that needs to be taken care of that way.

I have asked Dad to give her a blessing so today when he gets home he is planning on doing it. Alison, Jonathan is in Michigan and David is unable to assist right now with the blessing so it will just be Dad doing it!

Issues with Rebecca!

So I need any advice that I can get right now! I had to take Rebecca to the ER the other night due to a swelling in her face. They said that it is an abscessed tooth or something that caused the swelling. She has a prescription that was given for antibiotics but it says take with food. The issue that I am having is due to her tooth being so sensitive she is not eating solid foods. She wants to nurse all the time and since we were almost finished with that minus nap time and night time the supply is not there. She will drink some milk and some juice but she is not even wanting to eat ice cream because it comes in the form of a entering her mouth on a spoon. She is hungry I am sure of it but refuses to eat. I got her to eat a go-gurt today and a little bit of a nutrigrain bar but otherwise it is all in the form of liquid. What does anyone suggest? i am about to just take her to the hospital and say do something because I am getting very nervous about this whole thing!

Rebecca's first year persentiles!

So I took Rebecca to her 1 year appointment today and she is tiny!!!! Her head is measuring in at 43 3/4 so that puts her in the 10th percentile for that! She was in the 25th percentile 3 months ago for her head so it is not growing at the same rate it has been. Her height is 27 inches putting her in the 3rd percentile! She was in the 20th percentile at 26 1/2 inches 3 months ago so she has slowed on her growing taller a little also! Finally her weight! She was in the 20th percentile three months ago weighing in at 15 pounds 6 1/2 ounces. Right now her weight is exactly the same at 15 pounds 6 1/2 ounces. She is only in the 1st percentile for her weight now though. The doctor is not worried but has said to give her whole milk, cheese, and yogurt since they have a lot of fat in them I already give her those things and she loves them! I think that she is just going to be a small child for her whole life, the doctor also thinks so!

So she is just little but nothing I didn't already know! She had three shots today 2 in one leg and one in the other one. She was then sent down to the lab to have her finger pricked so they could collect 2 tubes of her blood to test for iron. Poor baby has had a hard day!

Rebecca is 1!!!

She is just a few minutes old in this one above! On her way to the nursery!!


This is when she was about a month and a half to two months old! She was already getting bigger!


So my sweet little baby is now 1! Where did that year go?? She is as adorable as ever and is getting big! She is now in 6-9 month cloths that are a little bit big but fitting better and better everyday! She says momma and Dadadada but that is when she is manly looking at dad so I think she is trying to say grandpa! I could be wrong though! She is walking if you hold her hands but is getting braver all the time and is trying to let go of one hand when she is walking! Soon I am sure she will be off on her own! She doesn't crawl at all and makes no attempt to do so! She does however make her way from point A to point B by scooting on her bum. I will need to get her on video doing it, it is adorable! She now has 6 teeth and she does know how to use them! She is a biter when she gets mad! She wants to be with me all the time still but will go and spend some time with David and Ashley if I need some time for cooking dinner or something like that. She loves to eat but in most cases what she wants is candy! She has recently learned how to pull herself up but it is very interesting how she does it! She puts her feet up against whatever it is that she is using to pull up on and with strait legs pulls herself up to standing and then moves her feet back to balance herself! She is definitely a unique child! She is not a napper unless I am holding her the entire time but fortunately she does sleep at night now! She is a girly girl and loves shoes! I let her pick what shoes she will wear for the day and she usually picks the ones that will go the best with what outfit I put on her so she has got good fashion sense! She loves music and has a great time bouncing her head to the beat of whatever is on the radio or if a song comes on the TV! We just put her in a forward facing car seat and she is enjoying it a lot! The world is a different place now that she can see it! I am still having a hard time to get her off nursing since she won't take a bottle and when it comes time for nap or night she won't take her sippy cup.

I know that I missing a ton of things that is her but I can't think of them right now! I am happy that she is 1 but it makes me sad since that means that she is not a baby anymore! I love my sweet little girl! Happy Birthday Rebecca!
