The Temple!!!

I have gone to the temple!!! It was amazing! I was one of 4 people going through for their own endowments. The other three girls were all getting married this week. I told mom that I felt old sitting next them! Mom and dad came out to go through with me along with Andrew, Marni, and one of my visiting teachers, Samuel came to watch Rebecca for me. We ate at the Sizzler before going and Dad unfortunately choked on a piece of his steak so he was not able to go through with me. Him and Samuel stayed with Rebecca who was good for almost the entire time! I was nervous that she would be fussy but I was surprised that she slept for more than half the time after I fed her before going in!! Mom was next to me all most the entire time and Andrew and Marni were chosen to be the witness couple for our session! That was a special thing!! I can't describe how awesome the whole experience was! Mom and Marni were waiting for me on the other side of the veil and there were some tears shed by mom and myself! After the temple we had Aggie ice cream! It was an awesome day had by all!

P.S. Dad and I will go to the vernal temple sometime soon since he was not able to go through with me in Logan! I will post a picture post soon!

I am so thrilled for you Susannah! Isn't the temple the most amazing, indescribable experience? I am really anxious to get back there soon. With distance and so many kids, our visits are few and far between. We'll definitely have to go when we are in Duchesne.

That's so sad that Dad wasn't able to go after all. Did he eventually get the steak to go down (or out as the case may be)?

Awwww! I'm so happy for you! And so sad I missed it. I would love to have been there. I haven't been in far too long myself. They are going to build a temple in Philadelphia and I can hardly wait. Then I can start going regularly. As it is, it is a full-day endeavor, and expensive (to drive either to Washington DC or up to Manhattan) and we rarely have a full day.

So what's with Dad and the inability to eat without choking? Has he seen a doctor for it?

Amy, the steak did go down around 6:30 that night. Alison, he has had the issue since he was little he said.
