Well, Kevin and I have a horrible mattress and we hate it. We have been looking into getting one of the tempupedic beds but they cost around $3,000.00 and I don't know about anyone else, but I think that it allot of money!!
I saw out at Costco a mattress topper that was made of that foam and so he and I decided to but one of those for the bed we have now and if it works a little bit then we will know the actual mattress is worth it and then make plans to but one of those! When the mattress topper came in it was very small and folded very compressed in a box. We had to lay it on our bedroom floor until it regained its intended shape. After it reached (almost) fully normal we placed it in the lining that it came with and made the bed accordingly!
Last night was the first night the we had it on the bed and due to small dips in the mattress, the foam also dips in in some places. Kevin doesn't like that part of it so we are changing the sleeping positions on the bed to see if he will like it any better tonight. I like it, it is like sleeping on a cloud! If you have never laid down on one of the beds, you have no idea what your missing!!! I will post in the comment section of this blog tomorrow and say what Kevin thought of it! Either way though, we are keeping it on the bed because I like it!!

Our bed was a hand-me-down...I don't even know how old it is! I do know that we have a piece of plywood under the mattresses to keep them from sagging in the middle! And one of those foam coverings on top. It does the job. I'm certainly not about to pay thousands for a new mattress when I don't seem to have any trouble sleeping on the old one!
We bought our mattress when it was a year old and that was over 14 years ago so it's definitely seen better days. We've talked about getting a new one but there are always way more pressing things to buy, so I imagine we'll be dealing with the one we have for a few years yet. I'm glad you liked your topper.
Well after the switch around of spots on the bed, he sleeps in the middle and I am on the side! Unfortunately I am the one who now has a dip in the bed. I can still sleep OK and he really likes the middle! He said it is more comfortable than the first night! The mattress that we have is one that he had when we got together, I think it is the one he had with his ex-wife but I am not 100%. It would be nice to get a new mattress all together.
