The "romantic" weekend

Jena is so bis now and then there is Melissa who is a tooth pick!!
As you can see from above this would be a picture of Melissa and her children, as are all of the pictures to follow. Originally our weekend was to be spent just Kevin and myself out in Salt Lake shopping for carpet but last minute change of plans sent us to Texas.

I have a friend in Lubbock that I talk to everyday and then suddenly she quit answering my phone calls and text messages (for almost 3 weeks) I was getting very worried because it is unlike her to do that unless something had happened to her. Together Kevin and I decided that we would go down and see if we could not find her since there was no other number for her family that we knew of and Kevin's brother could not find the house. To some people this might sound weird or extreme but she is one of my good friends and I was extremely nervous that something bad had happened.

We left here on Friday after Kevin got home from work and drove down getting there late Saturday morning (I stopped and slept for about 3 hours at a rest area.) The first thing we did after getting there and renting a room was to call Melissa and have her bring her and her kids (Cody was at work) up to see us. It took a little persuasion but in the end she came up!! We ordered pizza and the kids played while Melissa and I talked. She was there for a couple of hours so it was a nice visit! I think the kids had a fun time also!! Jenna is walking now so as the boys ran back in forth in front of the room, she would walk as fast as her little legs would take her just in time to have the boys run back the other way!! She tried to turn around and keep up but without any success!! She liked to hold on to my hand and take me on a walk around the building to the parking lot and see the cars!! She is a cutie!! William is loving school and is very polite!! Tristan is as cute as ever and when he and William play spider man or wolverine they die very dramatically!! Very cute to watch!! Brody is growing up super fast and wants nothing more than to keep up with his brothers in the playing department, he is getting close!! He is adorable!!!

Well, after they left we went to go by Bianca's parents house to start our search for Bianca. As we were driving over there I said it would be cool if she was there and as we pulled up we noticed her ex girlfriends car. Charlie is also a friend of ours but we didn't have her number to try to call her about Bianca. As we walked to the door who do you suppose we saw sitting on the couch?? It was Bianca herself!! She looked up and saw us and ran to the other room. When she finally came out I had her walk with me outside to talk and it turns out that she has gotten herself into some serious drugs and to use her words, "her head is all messed up right now" That was the first time that she had seen her parents in a couple of weeks and was asking them if she could move back in with them instead of living in the drug house with a controlling man. Kevin and I asked her to come back to Utah with us so that she could be away from all of the things that have "messed up her head!" She considered it but in the end decided to stay. That was all of her that we saw, drove all that way to see her for less than 30 Min's. We decided that we were going to leave Sunday morning so I tried to get her to spend some time with us but all we got was excuses. Sunday morning I sent her a text message and asked her if she wanted to come to lunch with us and she had said yes then changed her mind saying she wouldn't have time, but would like to see me to give me a hug before we left. We waited for almost an hour for her to show up, she never came. I asked her what happened and she just said that she didn't have time but maybe her head would be together the next time I was in town. Charlie came and had lunch with us and we were able to visit for a while with her, that was nice!! I am glad that she is not dead or in jail but I am very upset by what she has become. She is not anything like the person that I saw back in June when I was there. It is very sad to see what drugs have done to her.

We visited with Kevin's brother and his family for a couple hours, nothing major happened with them besides all of the horrible things they had to say about Alice (Kevin's mom) She doesn't care for Chad's wife either so at least I am not the only daughter in law that she hates!!! She does to their kids the same as she does to ours and that is no calls, letters, emails,etc. from her but gives them a big guilt trip if they don't contact her. She made our kids feel bad when we moved here to Utah because they were not staying with her. They are not her kids and it is not fair that they were made to feel the way they were because the parents decided the family was moving!! I have allot of anger toward her and I could write pages and pages of things that she does or has done that is unfair to the kids but that is another story (if anyone wants to hear anything about it let me know.)
All in all the trip was not worth it, I came back home car sick and tired, oh and of course without money!! The visits with family was only part of the trip that was worth it!! Thank God for family!!!
