Well this is one angle of the garden that we have tilled up! Very big!! I had to take two pictures of it to get the whole effect of what can of worms I have opened!! This angle looks big enough but if you look below you will see what I am
really looking at!!

What do you think?? That is Dad and Nathan down about 2 thirds of the way down in it. At this point I should have said stop but instead I went shopping with Dad at a couple different stores to get stuff to plant! We do have some pictures of what it looks like now, after planting a few things that were already growing like tomato plants, jalapenos,
cabbage, onions, broccoli, celery and cauliflower. i just have the pictures still on the camera and not downloaded yet. i will get them posted later! If anyone has any suggestions for me on how to take this all in stride and not panic, please let me know!!

Sorry, I have no advice! I am a terrible gardener. We're lucky to get a few tomato plants in, and so far this year, we haven't done even that. We only have a tiny space for a garden since I'm unwilling to plow up any of my backyard, so those pictures of your garden look TOTALLY overwhelming to me! Good luck!
Yeah, I'd be panicking too with that much garden! I think the size we have is enough to handle. Good luck! Hopefully you'll get a good crop and you can do some canning and freezing. We're disappointed that our peas don't seem to be coming up this year. We had a little trouble last year but we still managed to get at least something. We actually are going to take a soil sample and have it tested to see what's going on. Peas are our favorite garden item. We've also planted beans, tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers this year. Then we have our black raspberry bush over by the pond that usually yields quite a lot.
Mmmm...raspberries. Susannah, you should totally plant raspberries. I remember Grandma having success with those. Also, she always had a good carrot crop. (Remember playing "What's up Doc" with carrots and sleeping bags as our burrows? Were you too young?)
Wow. Yeah, I have no idea what to tell you. I've never actually grown anything. My husband keeps leaving me every summer, so we've never gotten around to a garden. Although there is a lot of space for it in franklin. Maybe next year. That's going to be a lot of food. You guys will pretty much be set for a few years. :)
If I can get any of it to actually grow then we will have a good crop!! We have discussed raspberries and strawberries but will most likely just have to have them for next year, seeing that I have to much on my plate as is!! I can not say that I remember the what's up doc thing other than on the cartoon so maybe I was to young to remember or just to young in general!
