So today Samuel is 17 and up before noon!!! Today is normally a left over day for us but I asked Samuel early on what he wanted for his birthday meal. He said he was not even sure that he was going to be here or not so we did his meal last night. What he decided on was ham, peas, mashed potatoes, and rolls. I added in a side that I made when I worked at Cheddar's Casual Cafe called broccoli cheese casserole. It was good for not having made it in well over 5 years plus when I would make it is was in a huge amount fit for a restaurant. Everyone seemed to like it OK as well so that makes me feel good. I have been asking Samuel what kind of a cake he wants and to this point the only answer I get is the I don't know!! It is the day of the birthday and I am still not sure what ingredients I will be needing for whatever cake I will be making!! I am about to hand him a ho ho and say happy birthday!! Hopefully he will decide soon though because I don't know about anyone else but a ho ho just doesn't say happy birthday!
Whatever he decides to do today I hope it is a good day for him!! Happy Birthday Samuel, I hope you have a wonderful day (with or without a cake!!)

He finally gave me an answer of Yellow cupcakes with strawberry frosting and sprinkles!! I will post a picture of the finished project tomorrow or Monday sometime!
Sam, I guess great minds think alike...that is exactly the kind of cupcakes Cecily likes to choose!
(Of course she is a little girl, I'm just saying. Not that there is anything UNMANLY about pink frosting with sprinkles)!
