What is going on here!

I know that everyone is waiting for the post of the trip to Las Vegas as well as the goodbye to Adrian. I am waiting to get to the computer that has the pictures on it and then I will have it posted!

Dad has been home for some time! He has an infection called celulitous in his leg. He is not able to walk very well and has been on crutches. He keeps his leg propped up most of the time on the drawer of his desk. I guess one good thing is he is able to keep in practice for solitaire!!! He does go outside every now and again and looks at the garden or tells Samuel where to plant something. He went for a week each day over to Roosevelt and had injections through an iv for it and is now seeing the doctor at the clinic in town. He is still taking antibiotics and his foot and leg are swollen. He wears a compression sock to relieve some of the swelling and I am assuming that it is working some even though he is still not able to put on his work boots and had to cut the back out of his shoe to put it on! He goes back to the doctor on Monday so we can get you updated on that day for his condition!

Jonathan works and that is about all! Of course he picks on everyone that allows him to get on their nerves! That is about all for him though!

David has started sleeping upstairs in our family room because Samuel's dog Clover had puppies in his room and he hates the smell!! Eventually they will be big enough to give away and we can get his room fresh with a couple of bottles of frebreeze!! Other than his constant texting and watching movies he just works!! He complains about the work but I am sure the check will be nothing to complain about!

Samuel still does not work besides around here at the house. He does all that he is told or asked to do by Dad! I can get him to do things for me every now and then but for the most part doesn't want to since I am just his sister! His dog had 7 puppies!! They are cute now but I am sure that as they get bigger they will look more and more like the mom and she is a heeler! I will take pictures and post them later also!

Adrian is gone. I am very sad that he is not here and even though it has only been a week and a half it feels like an eternity! I got a post card from him a few days ago and he said that the first day sucked because he got yelled at for having a big belt!! I am sure he has now figured it out but he is going to get yelled at for everything even if he is not responsible! He only addressed me on the postcard and that upset Kevin some.

Ashley has started going to a therapist over in Price. She seems like a nice lady and we drive over there every two weeks. She has had two sessions thus far and the first one I went into the room but have opted to stay out for the rest unless I am asked to go in. I figure she will make better progress and be more open if I am not there listening. The only reason that I went in the first time was because the lady wanted to know all of the issues that she is having. By my telling what issues there were it insures that all of the problems can be resolved and Ashley doesn't just say that nothing is wrong or not say all of the things that are the issues! Hopefully all gets resolved, most is of course on her and how much she wants to resolve the problems. I hope she will take advantage of this experience and become the person that she wants to be and the person that we can all see she wants to be!

I am good. I am almost over my sickness!! I love it! I hate cooking things with hamburger and lately chicken has gotten worse for me. I can eat veggies and fruit still and very few other things! Kevin does not think that I am healthy since I am not able to eat meat. I figure vegetarians are healthy and they never eat any meat so I should be good to go! I also figure that if I was not gaining wait properly I would be told at the doctors office! I feel good so I am not worried! That is about all there is new here!

Where do I start?

First of all, poor dad! What happened? How does one get cellulitous? Keep us updated! And, feel better soon, Dad.

I'm glad you've heard from Adrian. That's gotta be such a hard experience but I'm sure he'll do great.

I'm also glad Ashley is seeing a therapist. I'm sure she has to have abandonment issues from her childhood. I know that I would. She is a great girl. How did you find this therapist? Does she seem good?

I'm glad you are feeling better. I think in general pregnant women crave what their body needs. Meat does have lots of protein and iron which you do need while pregnant, so be sure to get lots of nuts, eggs or dairy if you can't eat meat. I couldn't do meat much at all in my first pregnancy but I craved deviled eggs like they were going out of style. I would let your doctor know you are not eating meat just to get his take on it and stay on the safe side.

I agree with what Alison said. :)

I do not envy Adrian at all. Basic sucks. When I told people I was deploying to Iraq the most common response I got was 'I'm sorry". As bad as people think deploying is, it is heaven compared to Basic. I would take a year long deployment over basic training again. That being said, all the crap they put you through ends up being worth in in the end. At least for me. And like you said, no matter how well you do, you are going to get yelled at, it is just the way it is.

It could have happened (cellulitous) from a bug bite, hitting his leg on something, any number of things that normally would be nothing to think about!
We got the therapist through the LDS Family Services. She is a great lady and Ashley seems to like her. When we started narrowing it down in the LDS Family Services I allowed Ashley to decide if she wanted a male or female. She chose a lady so that is why we go to Price for each session.
I have issues with dairy and eggs also, I can smell the egg through the shell! I do eat nuts, my favorite is almonds. Sometimes peanuts but not very often.

I forgot to ask in my last comment. I noticed there was no mention of Nathan or Kevin.

Also I was curious how the dogs are going to coexist with a new baby.

Nathan does not say much about anything, has a cold right now. He and I have an agreement about his sickness of the stomach. If he throws up after eating then he will have to go to a doctor so he has made everything stay down!!

Kevin and I are not getting along that well, he and I don't agree on much of anything and what he finds to be funny is hurtful or offensive to others. He asked me to tell him what I wanted and so I did and he doesn't talk to me about the important things at all now, let alone anything else. He makes fun of me a lot! I guess we will just have to see what happens.

Oh, and as far as the dogs go, if at any time they try to jump, snap at, or do anything that I am not ok with they will be outside dogs without thinking about it!

Definitely keep us posted on Dad's situation. Crazy how something minor can become such a big deal.

It was good to know what everyone else is up to. I'm glad the therapy sessions seem to be off to a good start for Ashley. And sorry to hear that things are not going well with Kevin. That has to be hard with a new baby coming.

Definitely take your prenatal vitamin since you are having trouble with so many other foods. Hopefully it'll continue to ease up so you can eat the things you need.
