Back to school!!!

Back to school has come again and as a parent I was soooo looking forward to it. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids and I love spending time with them but the silence when they have gone to school it wonderful!!! I can clean and do laundry without hearing "MOM"!! They fight and pick on each other allot so from 7:45am until 3:10 to 3:30pm they are the schools and I can get things done without being interrupted and I can also regain my sanity!!! I have taken pictures each day of them in the new cloths that they got while in Michigan. I have decided for sure that I was right when I told Adrian almost each pair of jeans and shirt that he picked out are exactly the same. He got a total of 6 pairs of jeans and 6 shirts, out of those shirts 5 of them are the same exact shirt just a different color and 4 of the jeans are the exact same, color and all!!! The fashion theses days is the "dirty" look with holes torn into them. I was strict on the holes because I don't like to see them walk out the door in ripped up cloths even if it is on purpose!!! Ashley liked allot of the ones with the holes, I compramised and allowed a pair that had a very small "rip" in it and the same with Adrian. I don't understand why people like to spend money on things that look like they have been owned by a couple of people and then tossed in the trash can. I guess that means I got old, I don't understand fashion today!!! I will post the pictures at the end of the week when I have the whole weeks worth of them. On a side note can anyone tell me how to post pictures in between paragraphs, all mine go to the top of the page and so I don't think I am doing it correctly.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the pictures of the kids. I am dreading the start of school, though...but then, not all of mine are gone so it's still not quiet and peaceful. It's just lonelier somehow when one of them is missing!

About posting the pictures: mine just go on top too. If you post all the pictures FIRST then you can type in between the pictures and that is how I get them into my paragraphs. Good luck!

OH! And tell David and Sam to update their blogs!

I'm excited to see the pictures of the kids. Hope the first days back are as good for them as it is for you. Like Alison, I am actually dreading next week. I've really enjoyed having the kids home this summer and I am not looking forward to those early mornings, homework, or the mountains of notes and papers that come home everyday. Plus this year I'll have three kids in three differents schools with three different start and end times. I don't know if my scatterbrain can handle it!

I know nothing of back to school, so I will comment on the clothes.

I can remember a time not so far past that you yourself wore jeans with holes in them, and shorts with frayed edges, and tight taper legged jeans (which now I think are called skinny jeans). I remember people gave you crap about it too!

I don't think we get old and out of touch with fashion. I think we get old and forget what we wanted to wear, and did wear, and that our parents also didn't like that.

So do like I do to keep yourself young. I own a pair of jeans with holes in them, and they were bought that way. I also have a pair of shorts with frayed edges. I wear them both,..regularly..and I like it! :)
