Well the family all went to Michigan for a little over a week at the beginning of August for the family reunion, first annual potter family reunion!!! It was sad that Nathan, Melissa and her family, and Andrew and his family were not able to be there, they were all very missed. There was alot of activities from family spiritual time (i loved that by the way and have started working with Kevin to give it a shot with the kids and I) to going to the park to watch kids be kids doing what they do best. The big lesson from the park for the day to me was that even though I am a kid at heart it is best to leave the tag playing to the actual kids. My toe is still tender from breaking it on the step when trying to tag Samuel! I found the game Bunnco in the store yesturday so we are planning a game night soon!!! We missed the trip to the zoo because I have one kid that hates zoos (they are not fun to her she says) and then another kid that was very helpful and passed on fun to help his grandpa on projects that he was working on (he is soooo sweet!) Going to the lake was alot of fun even though there was no swimming because of the wind blowing the waves so high. We still had a good time with the family. We all seperated into groups after eating lunch the group with the smaller kids went to the museume for the kids and then there was two other groups. Adrian went with the boys and Ashley stayed with myself, Kayleigh, and Nana. We walked around the shops and had one of the worst fruit smoothies ever made (I think they forgot the sugar!) We still got wet as you can see, the waves were exciting. I almost had a heartattack when the waves almost took Ashley back in to the lake with her, they enjoyed themselves though so thats all that matters since there wasn't actualy an accident. All in all it was a good trip, the drive back was not as nice.... 20 some-odd hours of driving is not a good thing. You need a vacation after a drive like that!! I did discover my love for the latch-hooks again and the greatest past of it is that Ashley has found enjoyment in that hobby of mine as well as the paint by numbers!!! Its nice to just sit mith her and do something together that we both enjoy. It is wonderful to have the bonding moment since she is at the age of wanting to pull away on her path to being an adult, I just goit her so I'm not ready yet. We don't even have to talk, just being in the room enjoying the same thing is good enough for me right now!!

It was such a fun trip! I am so excited you are blogging!
Be sure and post some of Ashley's artwork. I'd love to see more of it.
Oh, I also wanted to say:
Yes, Adrian is a sweet boy. He did so much work and never comlained at all!
Also, Ashley is a sweetheart, too. I so enjoyed getting to know her better. You have great kids and I was just very impressed with both of them.
Those were great photos. I hadn't seen those before. (If I can ever get the computer to locate mine, I will try and post some that haven't been posted yet, also). It was a great 10 days, and I miss everyone very much. Glad that you and Ashley are still latch hooking together. Be sure and post photos of the finished products.
I'm so glad you posted! It was a great visit with everyone and like Alison, I really enjoyed getting to know your kids better. I still think it was so sweet when Adrian came in when I was doing dishes and just took over for me.
Definitely post pictures of your the rugs and paintings and Ashleys art work. That girl has some amazing talent.
