What we bought!!
Well, on Thursday of last week Kevin and I went to a seminar so that I could claim my three day, two night Vegas trip. We went knowing when it came down to the end we would say no thank you or we had to think about it. That is not at all what happened. We were very impressed with what it is all about and so we bought 7000 credits in a resort vacation share. It is similar to time share but instead of owning 1 week out of a year in the same room in the same city every year for the rest of our lives we are able to make reservations at any time in any city or country and we own it for the rest of our lives and can be willed out for as long as our children's, children's children want to keep it for. We will be making payments for it of less than 250 a month and can use it even while still paying for it. If there is a vacation that we want to take and for the length of time that we want to take it for is more than the total 7000 credits that we have then we can also borrow from the next years worth of credits or if there is a year that we don't use all or any of the credits they will add up for up to 4 years. It isn't a use it all every year or loss it so it is really good I think. Any one have any thoughts on it?? I was given a free week that doesn't go against our credits just for buying into it and the plan is that is will be used to rent a house or suite of sorts that everyone can fit in on the beach when we have the reunion in New Jersey!!! Isn't that awesome, that way we all have more money for fun things rather than worrying about accommodations!!

Wow, Susannah! Very cool. We've been to a few of those time share type seminars and though we've been tempted we've never bought into anything. If that really works out for New Jersey that would be extremely cool. We usually stay in Ocean City but we don't have to stay there, we could stay in any of the beach towns. You'll have to research what's available and see if it really is a possibility. How fun!
That would be so great for NJ! We try hard not to go to those types of things just because we tend to be very bad at saying no and we can't afford to be talked into something that we can't afford:) I haven't ever heard of the kind of deal you guys are buying. It's an interesting concept. My only advice would be to definitely take advantage of it and do lots of traveling!
So did you get your Vegas trip too?
We did get our trip, it will be a motel on the strip!!! Not sure what one yet but it will be cool! Some family members may get a call from the people from the seminar to offer you a trip to sit through the same thing that we did. I just thought that some of you would like a trip somewhere. You can say no if you want, but there are good trips available besides Vegas.
When you go to Vegas I HIGHLY recommend seeing Mamma Mia! It is awesome! Totally worth the time and the price.
